I was born here in the Great Pacific Northwest in Bellingham, Washington. Soon thereafter, however, my family moved to Western New Mexico where I grew up. It was in the heat and desert of New Mexico at a local Municipal golf course that my passion for golf began. I played a lot of different sports growing up, but I was always drawn back to golf. To that end, I attended a high school in New Mexico that did not have a golf team. I was so driven to play competitive golf, however, that I convinced a few of my friends to play and we started our schools first golf team. We had a great time, and my experience in high school served to only further my passion for golf. I loved the competition and challenge or this incredible game! It doesn’t matter how good you become there is always something to work on and improve. I also love that golf provides so many different ways to enjoy and participate in the game.

After high school I attended New Mexico State University in their Professional Golf Management program. It was there that I developed my passion for teaching and really worked on my knowledge and abilities as a golf coach. Upon graduating, I earned my status as Class A PGA professional and turned my focus to entirely towards instruction and working with students to improve their game. I have worked at several highly regarded golf academies in California and Georgia, but none of them felt like home. Moreover, none of these other facilities had the commitment, technology and resources that RedTail provides. As such, I was extremely excited to make the move back to the Pacific Northwest and join the RedTail family.

The resources, technology, professionalism, knowledge and commitment that exist at RedTail Golf Center are second to none. I take great pride in our amazing facility. Don't just take me at my word, however, allow me or any one of our Certified Professionals the opportunity to show you our instructional and club fitting amenities here at RedTail Golf Center, and I guarantee you will be amazed at what we can do to improve your swing and enhance your enjoyment of the game.

My teaching methods are results oriented. I adjust and customize my approach to each individual student to help them maximize their strengths and abilities in order to shoot lower scores and enjoy the game more. I have seen many different successful golf swings. As such, I don’t push my students into one rigid swing style or form trying to achieve the “perfect golf swing”. Rather I focus on utilizing your athleticism and natural instincts and showing ways to use that swing to shoot lower scores. I also like to use statistics and data to analyze your game so that we can focus on where you can improve. Ultimately, I take all of my students onto the golf course. I believe it is very important to not only practice on the range and the short game areas, but also on the golf course as much as possible. I always tell my students if you want to truly get better we need to leave the driving range and learn on our field of play.

When I am not playing or teaching golf here at RedTail I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. We love to spend quality time together playing games and just being a family. In the fall, however, I especially love to watch some football!! GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you discover the REAL game of golf
