RYG™ Certified Teaching Professional

I have been a golf professional for more than 30 years. My entire life, however, I have been either playing or involved in golf in one way or another. I played golf at the University of Texas where I was an AIAW All American in 1978. I graduated from Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Education before joining the LPGA Tour from 1981-1984. The highlights of my playing career include a second place finish at the SafeCo Classic in 1983 and qualifying twice in 1991 and 1997 for the US Women's Open. I love to play this game, but even more than playing I enjoy teaching golf. As such, I have been an LPGA Teaching and Club Professional since 1986 and I have attended educational programs for levels I, II, and III.

Much of my teaching style was affected by my work with the late Harvey Penick. My goal is to help all golfers enjoy the game more. Every student comes to me with different skills, learning styles and reasons for seeking golf instruction. It is my job to quickly, accurately and effectively identify these unique attributes and formulate a personal lesson plan to improve your game. I am always striving to improve myself and I continue to learn much about the technical, physical, mental and emotional aspects of the game. I incorporate a very positive teaching style reinforcing my students constantly to see them get better. I also highly encourage and recommend proper club fitting. Each golf swing is its own thumbprint. Proper club fitting helps every player regardless of age, gender, experience or ability level. Properly fit equipment reduces injury, rewards proper motion, diminishes swing compensations and improves performance. Club fitting makes playing and learning the game easier and more fun!

Allow me or any one of our Certified Professionals the opportunity to show you our instructional and custom fitting programs, and I guarantee you will be amazed at what we can do to improve your swing and enhance your enjoyment of the game.

When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my friends and family. I still have a lot of family in the South and I love to travel and visit with them whenever time allows.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and I hope to see you soon!
